UKZN Extended Learning (UEL) is delighted to announce its partnership with Hyperion Development to provide access to computing-related courses for those who want to upskill their programming and design skills and to develop in the technology arena. Programming languages include Python and Java.

Hyperion launched in Durban in 2012, and is part of Google’s international project to improve computer science and training. Riaz Moola, Hyperion’s co-Founder and CEO, comments:

“The partnership with Google will give everyone interested in computer science in South Africa, or in the whole of Africa, an opportunity to pursue it. We have close ties with the Google Africa team and are working to help it run recruiting events in South Africa, and deliver their training through our online course platform,” he said.

“Technology is the single most powerful resource to enable us to leapfrog the experience curve and to help fast track the development of our people and grow the economy in South Africa. We look forward to building the partnership with Hyperion and to supporting expertise development in Africa”, commented Simon Tankard, UEL’s CEO.

To celebrate this union, HyperionDev is giving a 15% discount on any of their courses by using promo code UKZN.

Valid from 1 November 2017 until 31st January 2018.
