The guest speaker was Ms Vani Moodley the Vice President of the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the CEO of Vani Moodley and Associates. The topic for the day was “How to create congruence between your personal and professional life“, which is a constant debate for all working women.

Ms Moodley is an internationally recognised trainer in the fields of entrepreneurship and leadership with experience in 26 countries and 3 islands.  She spoke of her experience in climbing up the corporate ladder as a woman and shared lessons from the successes and difficulties she encountered on this journey. She expressed the importance of young women having mentors for guidance and support, saying that without the assistance of her mentor, she would not have achieved all she has.

Guests left tasked with encouraging and championing gender equality within their own workplaces, with mentoring young women within their teams.
