It is said that life begins after one has completed Grade 12 and has to make important decisions concerning one’s career.

For the past two weeks, UKZN Extended Learning facilitated the Foundation Mathematics bridging course for students wishing to pursue various degree qualifications at the University. The course was co-facilitated by Dr Maga Moodley and Mr Shunmugam Pillay who are both Mathematics Lecturers at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

“The lecturers are very knowledgeable in their field as they use various approaches when teaching the subject. They certainly make the programme interesting and much easier to understand than compared to the time I was in Matric. What’s more helpful are the daily tests and homework we get given as they improve our understanding of the subject. I am happy with the experience and convinced that my results will be much better”, says Londiwe Ngcobo – who will be pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.

“I would recommend this programme to someone who truly believes they could have done better in school so that they use this second chance wisely”, says Mpumelelo Zulu – one of the students who will be pursuing his career in Architecture and Property Development.

Such positive feedback is evidence of our core principle, which is to provide quality education throughout our various programmes.
