In an age of rapid change and advancement, we all want to be: more organised, more prepared and more qualified. At UKZN Extended Learning, we offer quality short courses that support our delegates in their personal and professional development journey. Recently, we hosted a two-day Microsoft Office Excel Basic training for a group of delegates.
Our delegates came from different career backgrounds with unique work experiences and from different levels within their respective organisations; some at entry level, others at senior level and even small business owners. This course was facilitated by Mrs Jayne Whittaker, who has been involved in computer training since the inception of Microsoft Windows many years ago. She is currently studying for the new Microsoft Office package version 2016 Master Instructor and the Microsoft Educator program. Besides computer training, Jayne also teaches several soft skill programmes, such as: Communication skills, Time Management and Business Presentation skills to a variety of retail, manufacturing, and other types of businesses.
“The facilitator was super fabulous because we found her to be extremely relatable. The fact that she had written her own manual speaks volumes of her quality of training. I thought I knew a few basics but I was quite humbled by this experience as it has taught me how be a little bit more efficient in MS Excel. This training was extremely important for my business as I have left the corporate world, and I will definitely be using all the acquired knowledge because it is appropriate and applicable to my business”
