Labour Law is always a relevant topic in the workplace as it is paramount that employees and employers be knowledgeable about the necessary labour legislation and procedures. Our Certificate in Labour Law course aims to inform attendees of the vast labour law practices that are frequently changing, especially during the global pandemic and with the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) being in full swing. In order to ensure the implementation of accurate and ethical procedures, it is crucial to be aware of your rights and the relevant tools available to combat any possible conflictions in the workplace. Delegates attending the course are provided with a unique blended learning methodology which combines online access to subject content with real time engagement with facilitators, and the opportunity to add value through contact learning sessions, where feasible and appropriate.
This course is set to commence on the 17th of August 2020 and will run over the course of six days through online interactive sessions. The facilitation team consists of Ms Nicci Whitear-Nel and Ms Tamara Cohen, covering key focus areas such as in-depth specifics of an employment contract; employment equity; dismissals and the current legislations. Being well informed about labour legislation in South Africa remains a challenge faced by businesses and individuals in all industries. A lack of information on ethical procedures can land a lot of businesses in hot water and likewise not knowing your rights as an employee may lead to exploitation. The onus is on both parties to be educated to avoid costly and time-consuming battles with staff down the line.
