This 6 month programme comprises of four modules which includes; Introduction to Management Science; Business Computing and Logical Reasoning; Business Communication and the Environment of Business. This programme, which was completely customised for HWSETA commenced in October 2019 and will conclude in May 2020. This programme is designed to assist delegates to apply for a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, provided that all other requirements of the University are met, including having an NSC pass for Degree purposes.
Of the four modules, module three recently took place on Business Communication which was facilitated by Jayne Whittaker. Jayne has been a facilitator in computer training since the inception of Microsoft Windows many years ago. Besides computer training, Jayne also teaches several soft skill programs, such as: Communication skills, Time Management and Business Presentation skills to a variety of retail, manufacturing, and other types of businesses.
Delegates that attended this module really enjoyed the session with Jayne and expressed their views on business communication as being “extremely informative”. Upon completion of the fourth module, delegates will conclude with a main examination which will be assessed by our esteemed facilitators. Once the marking is completed, should delegates be required to write a supplementary exam, they will be notified by UEL.
All delegates who passed will then be eligible to apply for admission to UKZN and the Bachelor of Business Administration. They would need to have the following requirements in order to gain entry: National Senior Certificate degree pass, with a minimum of 26 points, which excludes (Life Orientation points), Mathematics (Foundation) at NSC level 3, English at level 4 and life orientation at level 4.
