The Foundation Physics Team restores hope to students

Over the past three weeks UKZN Extended Learning facilitated the Foundation Physics bridging course to former high school students who aimed to improve their grade 12 Physics mark. Lecturing the course was Dr Juggy Govender who holds a PhD in Physics and has extensive experience in Physics education at UKZN.

In addition to the lectures, learners were also engaged in group activities where they did practical exercises with the guidance of the academic team.

Highlighting her experience, Vironshnee Gounden was very impressed with the commitment from the academic team, as the course was more intensive and therefore required longer hours of practice when compared to the Foundation Mathematics course. After improving her Mathematics mark earlier this year and achieving 90%, she is very confident that her Physics results will be just as good. Vironshnee is hoping to be accepted for second semester entry to a BSc Engineering degree at UKZN.
