In most organisations minute taking is often taken for granted. This often leads to loss or distortion of crucial information being discussed in meetings. This week UEL ran the course, Effective Minute Taking, where delegates from various companies attended in numbers. The key focus areas which were covered included: Understanding the role of a meeting, Organising an Effective and Productive Meeting, Preparing a Working Agenda, The Procedure during a Meeting and Identifying the Type of Minutes you are expected to take. After the course delegates affirmed that on their return to work they will do better when preparing the agenda and the writing up of minutes during meetings.
