UEL recently hosted the last block of the Management Development Programme at the Unite building on the Howard College Campus.
The theme for this block focused on technology and how it has transformed business systems, processes and practices over the past decade. The impact and potential of technology was examined and a video about the dangers of technology, partially social media, was a rude awakening for some of the delegates who have teenage children.
Commensurate business risk with using new technology was reviewed as well as the blending of information and communication technologies, their application across different markets and the use of social media to engage with customers.
Delegates were surprised on their last day with a treat, mini-massages for all. Before closing, the group posed for class photos and extended this session by taking group selfies. Hugs and gratitude were extended at the end of the class and this displayed how they not only gained knowledge on how to be effective leaders in their respective fields but friendships and an increased network as well.
