UKZN Extended Learning were approached by the Institute for Commercial Forestry Research (ICFR) when they realised a need for project management training. The ICFR focuses on developing technology and expertise in growing trees sustainably, profitably and responsibly to benefit all stakeholders in plantation forestry in South Africa. Together with the ICFR and our facilitators, UEL customised our very popular Competent Project Management Program to meet the specialised needs of the ICFR. They were exposed to various aspects of project management from strategy and planning to the mapping of projects in logical sequences. The program commenced on the 5th of December and after an intense three days, the delegates left, excited to put this new found knowledge into action.
