Ithala State Owned Corporation Limited contracted with UKZN Extended Learning to provide a Management Development Programme (MDP) for its employees.
This customised MDP began on the 12th September 2016 with the first block comprising of 5 days. This block was made up of various topics with highly interactive sessions. The pivotal theme of the entire programme is that of leadership. Various aspects of communication were emphasised throughout the programme and the academics drew on experiential learning to enhance the learning impact.
The delegates selected by Ithala to participate in the MDP were highly enthusiastic and engaging. Some of the highlights expressed by them were that they appreciated the tremendous support of UKZN Extended Learning and the wealth of knowledge shared by the highly qualified facilitators.
The delegates expressed that the knowledge and value received during the first week alone, far exceeded a traditional teaching and learning style model that would have taken a full semester to cover. We look forward to hosting them for completion of the outstanding blocks.
