The first Management Development Programme for 2018 commenced on 14 February 2018 with Strategic Management and Leadership being the focus for module 1. Upon arrival, the delegates helped themselves to a light and healthy breakfast. With Health and Wellness being a key underlying theme, the delegates were involved in Tai – Chi as well as a yoga session spaced out over the three days.
An introduction/overview of the programme was conducted by Extended learning which included placing the Management Development Programme within the global context of Management and Leadership. A number of key talking points that were discussed throughout the module by various facilitators included: Aligning Organisation Strategy and Performance; Effective Management and Leadership; Models of Management and Leadership; Risk and Reward; Performance Management; People and Processes to name a few. The delegates left enthusiastic about incorporating their newly acquired knowledge into their working environment back at their organisations.
