UKZN Extended Learning (UEL) is currently going through a restructuring which sees us merging and joining the Graduate School of Business and Leadership (GSB&L) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). This is in line with the recent changes approved in UKZN’s new 5-year strategy effective from 2024. Our new CEO, Mr Crispin Hemson, has been appointed to take us through this transition, which is currently underway.
Mr Hemson brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously served as the Head of the School of Education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Additionally, he also led the International Centre of Nonviolence at DUT and is a respected figure in the field of education.
After a quiet start to the year, UEL is rapidly expanding its range of offerings. We are happy to report that the flagship Management Development Programme will commence in Durban from the 21st of August 2024 and in Richard’s Bay from the 11th of September 2024. Click here to find out more about this programme.
There is also an exciting range of new courses planned for those in the shipping and aeronautical industries. We are also extending our work to the public sector in areas such as health, higher education, and diplomacy. The plan is for our short course programme to become fully part of UKZN, ensuring that our short courses are even more closely linked to the UKZN brand.
