Competent Project Management is a programme offered at UKZN Extended Learning (UEL) that is relevant in today’s world. The pace at which the world is evolving requires individuals who can achieve company success through effective project management. Many job roles require a degree of project management skills. Throughout the years, project management has been an essential part of achieving company objectives, which is why it is important to master it throughout one’s career.

According to Teamwork, “when project management is done right, it helps every part of the business run more smoothly. It allows your team to focus on the work that matters, free from the distractions caused by tasks going off track or budgets spinning out of control”. UEL’s Competent Project Management programme ensures all tasks are achievable by providing the structure and techniques required to complete projects. The idea of project management is presented to delegates in a new light, and they learn how they can exercise it in everything from leadership to everyday life.

In the Competent Project Management programme, delegates gain practical and knowledge-intensive content, which helps them connect the organisation and create healthy internal working mobility. Our facilitators have a fresh perspective that looks at leadership from a contemporary perspective. They focus on enhancing the leadership capabilities of individuals and cementing the role of leaders in organisational culture. A fundamental principle of the UEL approach is to take the concept of competence as based on knowledge and experience and apply it to the working environment.

If you would like to find practical ways to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills required to manage projects within your organisation through our Competent Project Management programme, please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information:
