COVID-19 has affected millions of professions across all industries. Adaptation to new business operations to stay ahead of the game and remain relevant is vital regardless of the industry. The challenges presented over the past year are the first of their kind, and many businesses were not prepared to respond to these unique challenges. Companies need to respond tactfully and strategically to curb the potential mistakes that could have crippling effects on the future of business. Financially adept managers are key contributors in supporting businesses through this pandemic and can be crucial in effectively navigating unfamiliar territory, as performing financial best practice is vital.

At UKZN Extended Learning, we offer a 3-day Finance for Non-Financial Managers programme, in which delegates have the opportunity to truly grasp the various financial and business acumen required to meet organisational needs. The purpose of this programme is to instil confidence in our delegates in understanding finance-related skills that can be transferrable to the work environment. Under normal circumstances, non-financial managers would use a range of tested and proven strategies and models to combat business challenges; however, we prepare our delegates to implement an innovative and refreshed systemic approach in this global crisis.

Throughout this programme, delegates will better understand and analyse financial statements; apply budgeting and forecast techniques; implement capital investments, ratio analysis and risk management. These non-financial managers will develop new possibilities within the industry. The knowledge gained through this programme lays a foundation to make better decisions for the business.

This programme is significant for those that do not have a financial background. The delineated content framework has been specifically designed to accommodate individuals new to the world of finance. We face a global health crisis with tragic consequences; however, it does not have to be the end of the road for businesses, especially if your staff is well equipped to face these challenges head-on. These unprecedented times demand more than the industry has possibly ever had to give before.

Our next intake for this programme is 12th May 2021. For more information, please click here or please contact:
