UKZN Extended Learning

Life after high school is exciting and promises a host of opportunities. Before getting wrapped up in the freedom that lies ahead, you will most probably have to face the daunting task of applying to universities in the midst of it all. If you play your cards right, you will have the luxury of choice for your preferred qualification. However, if you did not qualify for your preferred degree, this can often be disheartening and has the potential to make you feel like you need to completely alter your plans. Luckily there is no need to worry because an ‘opportunity delayed is not an opportunity denied’. UKZN Extended Learning offers some bridging programmes that can give you a second chance to pursue your studies and embark on the journey of your ideal career choice. Bridging programmes are for students that need to improve their marks in order to enter their qualification of choice or it can be to gain a better understanding of that particular subject.

Bridging programmes serve as a stepping stone on your journey with education. Our facilitators ensure that you are fully prepared for what is expected at tertiary level. The aim is to enhance the competencies of students in the relevant subjects to the level of that required for entry into degrees.

“After completing the Foundation Math and Physics Programme I was privileged enough to obtain 80% for both courses. So, if you are wondering if there are any benefits in doing the Extended Learning Programme, then yes, there are many benefits and I am a testimony of the greatness of UKZN Extended Learning” said Kyle Chavoos, a former delegate.

As much as it is encouraged to do your best in your final exams, it is evident by the above testimonial that there are still ways to resuscitate low results, that will put you back on track to reach your goals. All you need to bring is a positive attitude, dedication, motivation and a commitment to bettering yourself for your future.
