In this day and age, careers are evolving and so should the skills of your employees. Project management encompasses more than managing a sequence of steps required to complete projects on time. You need to be able to systematically incorporate the voice of the customer and create a particular way of prioritising efforts. Ensuring the project management process is facilitated correctly should be a key strategic priority for every organisation. Our Competent Project Management is a three-day programme that gives you a practical business perspective from inception, to planning, to implementation and evaluation. This journey aids in transforming careers for the better by using the tools gathered from this programme and implementing in the workplace. Project management is an essential tool in addressing objective needs, achieving goals and meeting the demands in any industry.

Facilitating the recent training was Mr. Mondli Mbambo – a passionate project management professional and practitioner who holds a Master’s Degree in Project Leadership and Management. Mr. Mbambo discussed key topics such as the project life cycle; measurement tools for competent project management and strategy; socio-cultural skills; project planning; time management and managing group dynamics. Through these topics our delegates learnt essential skills such as developing a conceptual scoping statement; predicting risk and developing contingencies as well as measuring the progress and results of a project’s implementation to name a few. However, the benefits extend beyond the abovementioned learning areas.

Sharing her overall sentiments about the programme with us, Ms. Thandoluhle Madondo, who works at Dube Trade Port stated:

“I found the programme to be very informative and has added to my skills set list. I am proud to say that I have learnt a lot. Most of the things I was uncertain about have been cleared. I can actually take whatever I have learnt and apply it at my place of work. The facilitator was exceptional and engaged well with us. His examples were great and he made concepts very easy to understand and he encouraged team work, this made us learn a lot from each other. I definitely recommend the course to anybody who wishes to do Competent Project Management.”

One would describe the programme as eye opening. Our delegates definitely left the place being empowered and looking forward to working on their respective projects. The manner in which our facilitator broke down the information made it easy for all participants to grasp. When delegates were asked to comment about their experience on the programme, there was a general consensus on the great level of gratitude expressed towards the facilitator due to his immense knowledge and skill on Project Management collectively. The use of relevant and practical examples throughout the programme compelled engagement of which delegates found very effective. They stated that when they return to work, they will now be more mindful of their project management processes, only implementing those that will be effective and produce efficient results.

It is crucial for project managers to be qualified in their respective projects as decisions made could have a significant impact on the success of the project. For more information on our forthcoming Competent Project Management (CPM), please contact:
