Delegates were warmly welcomed at the start of the recent MDP Programme, which had a total of 32 delegates for the first module. The first day of the first module, Management and Leadership, facilitated by our CEO, Mr Simon Tankard, was focused on aligning organisational strategy and performance. He unpacked the concepts of organisational activities, values and ethics, with the framework on corporate governance.

The first day ended off with a wow factor, where delegates where introduced to the business simulation. Delegates were set up into groups, where teamwork will apply to gaining integrated business management experience through their online businesses. This will continue throughout the programme.

Professor Abdullah Kader facilitated on the second and third days and introduced concepts of the VUCA world; management of people in complex organisations; concepts of an economy learning organisation; and innovation and creativity in the workplace. Delegates engaged and thoroughly enjoyed all sessions. Day three also allowed delegates to meet the coaching team, as throughout the programme they will have one on one sessions within each block module in order to address personal management issues at the workplace.

The Management Development Programme is designed to optimise learning and development through the use of experiential and applied methodologies. It comprises of seven modules and also holds a coaching component. The modules include Strategic Marketing Management; Management and Leadership; Management Strategy; Strategic Human Resource Management; Operations and Supply Chain Management; Financial Management; Innovation and Technology and Business.
