The University Academic Development Programme tackles different modules weekly

UKZN Extended Learning is currently facilitating the Academic Development Programme, also known as the University Education Induction Programme (UEIP), which is aimed at Higher Education and takes place weekly at our Durban and Pietermaritzburg campuses. The programme is designed for academics from various Universities and TVET Colleges around South Africa and covers modules such as Assessing Learning in Higher Education; Teaching and Learning in Higher Education; Designing and Evaluating Curricula in Higher Education; and Supervising Research in Higher Education.

The programme is mostly attended by Lecturers and Senior Lecturers from various UKZN departments. The facilitation team is made up of Higher Education professionals from UKZN Teaching and Learning, who possess great knowledge in the Higher Education sphere. The team comprises of academics such as Professor Damtew Teferra, Dr Saras Reddy, Dr Ruth Searle and Dr Lester Brian Shawa.
