UKZN Extended Learning (UEL) recently hosted delegates for the second block session of the Emerging Managers Programme – Managing in Context. The three-day course was facilitated by our esteemed lecturers: Mondli Mbambo, Navitha Sewpersadh and Dr Caroline Goodier. Programme modules covered include Project Management, Finance Management and Business Communication. During the latter, delegates were engaged in group activities where they were trained how to write a formal business report using practical work examples.
As new and emerging managers are tasked with the responsibility of managing a team to achieve results for the first time, it is crucial to identify potential effective leadership methods and people management talents through skills development programmes such as these.
