UKZN Extended Learning hosted a seminar entitled “Essentials for Entrepreneurs” on the 16th March 2017. Over 70 interested delegates attended the talk, facilitated by Dr Riedwaan ‘Rudi’ Kimmie. Rudi is the Manager of the Hub for the African City of the Future at UKZN’s School of Engineering and has a background in education, training, leadership and organisational development.
The seminar provided an introductory glimpse into which tools are needed to equip entrepreneurs with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to successfully run small businesses within their communities. Rudi also briefly outlined the fundamentals of business with a focus on developing a business plan. The seminar ended with a question and answer session, followed by networking over snacks.
